Magical Memories
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone.
I'm back sharing my first layout of April. I can't believe it's April already!
And here it is, I survived another Winter in Colorado. Spring has sprung!

This layout, with this photo, just makes me happy.

2Crafty Chippies used:

Brush Nut Floral Clusters
Large Berry Stem
Magical Memories

As always, I primed my chipboard with Gesso. I have found the using a medium Gesso, instead of the heavy Gesso I was using, gives me coverage just as good without worrying about tearing off some of the delicate pieces on the chipboard. Lesson learned.

\
On the top right I used a small piece of the Large Berry Branch left over from another project. (Beneath the title I used the whole Berry Bunch, but for here a smaller piece worked.)
I painted the stems with Spanish Moss Chalk Paint and the berries with a mix of Vermillion and Naples Yellow Red Acrylic Paint.

Underneath that I placed one of the Brush Nut Floral Clusters. Again, I painted the stems with Spanish Moss Chalk Paint. Then I painted the floral clusters with a mixture of Parisian Gray and Victorian Chalk Paint. I wanted to match the color with the color of the light gray flowers.

I added another one of the Brush Nut Floral Clusters on the Bottom under the flowers. It's all about balancing out the color and texture.

I decided to use the whole Large Berry Stem beneath the photo extending from the flowers under the photo. I altered it the same as the Berry Stem at the top to match the color of the pink flowers. This was to extend the cluster down and to bring attention to the title.

I placed the title, Magical Memories, directly under the photo. This was painted with the same Parisian Gray and Victorian Chalk Paint as the Brush Nut Floral Clusters. In hindsight, I would have painted it a little darker so it would show up better, but what's done is done!

Hope you like this layout. And I hope you like how well all the colors compliment each other.
For me, that's always a challenge, so I'm happy when it works out!!

See you back in a few weeks with more from our favorite 2Crafty Chipboard.
