Hi everyone. Welcome back to the blog.
Today I'm going vintage with this photo of my granddaughter from many years ago. This is one of the few photos that I actually took that turned out good, so I printed it out in color, B&W, sepia, and all the other ones I could get!
This is the sepia one. I think it goes really well with these papers from 49 and Market's Nostalgic Memories collection. I don't usually create vintage looking layouts, but I thought I would give it a go. Hope you like it!
Adore YOU
2Crafty Chipboard that I used:
Leafy Twig Branches
Harlequin Clumps
Adore YOU
Mini Flourish Bits
6x6 Clock Face Frames
Beaded Hanging Heart Set
All of the fabulous Chipboard pieces were first painted with Gesso, as I always do, just because it works so well as a primer.
There's more chipboard than I usually use on this layout, so let's get started.
On the left side of the layout I started with the Leafy Twig Stems to give height and color along this side of the photo. I painted it with Light Moss Green from Viva Paper Soft Colors.
I also added in one of my favorite pieces from the Mini Flourish Bits because I felt that it lent to the vintage vibe going on. This was painted with Burnt Sienna Acrylic Paint.
I thought that this little heart from the Beaded Hanging Heart Set was a sweet little accent peeking out from under the flowers. Also painted with Burnt Sienna Acrylic Paint.
Then a couple more of the Leafy Twig Branches to complete the upper right of the photo.
This is a "just because" just because I think this piece of the Harlequin Clumps look so vintage. A little extra texture and interest is always a good thing! There is also another little piece of it at the upper left next to the flowers. They was painted with Raw Sienna Acrylic Paint.
And last, but not least, is the title. I chose Adore YOU because I DO adore her! I cut it so I could stack it to fit the space. I painted it with Raw Sienna Acrylic Paint, the same as the Harlequin Clumps.
And there is, my attempt at going vintage with a not so vintage photo. Hope you are inspired by this and you will attempt to go vintage too!
I'll be back soon with more chipboard magic from 2Crafty.
xx
