Time is a GREAT storyteller
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone, welcome to the blog!

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year Holiday!
I'm happy to be sharing my first layout for 2026.

If you have seen my work in the past, you know that I create feminine layouts. This one is no exception. I love the soft colors in this paper, and the chipboard blended perfectly. Hope you like it.

Time is a GREAT storyteller

Beautiful 2Crafty used:

Breanna's Swirl

Glenda's Swirl

Roman Numerals XL Set

Time is a GREAT storyteller

Before altering, I painted all the chipboard with White Gesso.

I used this Glenda's Swirl on another layout awhile back. I only used part of the swirl, and this piece is part of that. I always save the unused pieces I cut off so I can use them on a different project. I only needed a small piece, so this was perfect to add the look of the swirl cascading down and blending in with the Breanna's Swirl beneath the photo.

I first painted it with Barcelona Beige Chalk Paint, then lightly covered it with White Adirondack Chalk Paint. I want it to be a little messy, and not stark white.

I placed a piece from the Roman Numerals XL Set under the flowers tucked in under the Breanna's Swirl. I thought it lended to the feel of the layout.

I painted it with a mix of Deep Violet Acrylic Paint and White Adirondack Chalk Paint to match the purple in the flowers.

Here is the full Breanna's Swirl moving from the flowers to the bottom of the page. The top of the swirl is tucked in under the flowers with the body peeking through. I think it added more interest this way.

This was painted the same as the Glenda's Swirl at the top, Barcelona Beige and White Adirondack Chalk Paint. Then I added a few Purple Pearls as an accent.

Time is a GREAT storyteller. What a GREAT title! And it really doesn't mean anything as far as the photo goes, I just liked it and thought it went well with the various clocks on the layout.

The word 'GREAT' was painted the same as the Roman Numeral - Deep Violet Chalk Paint mixed with White Adirondack Chalk Paint. The rest of the title was painted the same as the Breanna's and Glenda's Swirls - Barcelona Beige and White Adirondack Chalk Paint.

Hope you like this layout, and that it has inspired you.

See you back here in a few weeks with more from 2Crafty.
