Hi Everyone. Welcome to November! This year is just zipping by.
This is my first layout of the month. It's a happy layout, capturing the inquisitiveness of a child. I loved reading to my kids when they were little. It was a big deal at my house, and I'm really glad I was able to instill in them the love of reading. All my kids are avid readers to this day.

In my Happy Place
All of the chipboard was first covered with White Gesso before altering.
I placed one of the View Finders on the right side of the photo. I painted it with Light Blue Acrylic Paint to play off the light blue in the flowers and the color of her jeans.
I added three of the Addy's Butterflies to this layout painted with Provincial Blue Chalk Paint. I painted them this color to play off the darker blue color in the flowers and the little girl's jacket.
I painted the title, In my Happy Place, with White Adirondack Chalk Paint so it would really stand out and also play off the white of their shirts. I try to always choose the colors I alter the chipboard with to be colors that are in the photo. The paper too if I can. This paper was perfect for this photo!
Hope you like this and that I have inspired you to color coordinate your embellishments and background to be an extension of your photo.
Thanks for stopping by, see you back again in a few weeks.
xx
