sweet Moment
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone. So glad you stopped by the blog.

Today's layout features a photo of a sweet little girl that I found when I was cruising around Pinterest. I thought she was just beautiful and thought she deserved to the scrapped....by ME!!!

So that's it, no story, no relation, just a photo that captured my interest. Hope you like it!

 sweet  Moment

2Crafty goodness used:

Word Circle Set 1

Fencing Wire

ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars

Frame Lace Hearts

Sweet Moment

Be sure to prime those chippies before you add your paint, inks, waxes, embossing, or whatever you use to alter them!  I like Gesso, only because I haven't found anything else that does as good a job.

I backed the photo with one of the hearts from the Frame Lace Hearts set. The set comes with this piece and a solid chipboard heart as well. For this layout, I only used the frames. I painted the lace with a blend of Sheepskin and Oatmeal Chalk Paint. On the rim of the heart I used Metallic Copper Chalk Paint. Because it's an ultra matte chalk paint, it's not metallic at all! But the color is nice anyway.

I filled in the inside of the heart with a piece of the Fencing Wire. This was painted with Champagne from the Prima Shimmering Lights Watercolor Set.

The smaller heart on the bottom of the photo was altered exactly the same way as the top one.

For the title, I chose the word 'sweet' from the Word Circle Set 1, and the word 'Moment' from the Sweet Moment title. I decided to do the title this way because I like the look of 2 different fonts. I simple painted them with White Adirondack Chalk Paint and glued them to the Wire Fencing inside the Frame Lace Heart.

Here on the bottom, as well as at the top, I placed a few of the hearts from the ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars. These were painted with Metallic Copper Chalk Paint, the same as the rims of the larger hearts.

I hope you have been inspired by this layout. If you don't have many good quality photos, or any recent photos (I have asked my kids and grandkids for photos....Crickets!) take a stroll online. There are many places to get free, good quality photos. I know scrapping is about preserving family memories. But I have been scrapping for over 20 years and have used all the photos I had, many times. So, I do what I can to keep myself creating art.

Take care, see you back right here in a few weeks.
