Hi there & hello, thanks so much for calling by.
Today I have a mixed media boy layout to show you & it
features this photo of my eldest son “rocking on” with Metallica!!
An awesome photo that I was so fortunate to capture that moment in time.
Naturally I have used some fabulous pieces of 2Crafty chipboard to
accessorise this masculine grungy layout.

After doing loads of mixed media and stamping on my background
I then set to work customising the chipboard pieces. I just love this
“Right Here Right Now” title. I thought it was just perfect for my layout.
After a base coat of gesso, I then gave it a grungy effect using
some layers of different acrylic paints to achieve the desired effect.
The next chipboard piece I have used is this amazing
“Steampunk Foliage Corner”.
To achieve the effect I have on this piece I did a number of steps...
#1. A generous wipe over with black Distress Ink pad.
#2. I randomly sponged on some copper metallic paint.
#3. While the paint was still wet I lightly sprinkled on some
antique gold embossing powder & then heat set that with a heat gun.
#4. I lightly sponged on a little more black ink.
I was really happy with how the effect on this piece turned out.
The last chipboard pieces I have used on my layout were two pieces
of the “Interlocking Grid Panels” which I have tucked in
on each side of the photo.
For these I simply painted with a coat of black acrylic paint
followed by randomly sponging on some metallic copper paint.
Too easy.

Well that’s all I have for you today.
I hope it has given you some inspiration.
Until next time…
