Hi everyone! So glad you could drop by.
Today I'm sharing a simple layout using one of my favorite colors. I love teal, especially with black. So classic. I really like this photo too. I have scrapped it before but I thought why not scrap it again with a different design?
I've seen "Black & White plus One Color" challenges and layouts over the years. I haven't seen many lately though. Turns out that they are actually, in fact, challenging to do! I thought I would try it.

Beautiful 2Crafty I used:
Lusius Swirl
Sharon's Butterflies
enjoy TODAY
I used 2 of the Sharon's Butterflies on this layout. I just painted them with Black Gesso, easy. Then I glued a paper butterfly on top. I this the black really makes them pop.
I did the same thing with this butterfly on the right. I like to try to achieve balance and symmetry when I create. I think it's easier on the eye as you look at the layout as a whole.
Ok, here come the focal point of the layout. The very dramatic Lusius Swirl. Isn't this just an incredible piece? Really makes a statement. I cut it in half to be able to use it at the top and bottom of the layout. All I did to alter it was to paint it with Black Gesso.
I painted the title, enjoy TODAY, with White Acrylic Paint to really stand out against the Lusius Swirl at the bottom. I like it when the titles pop against the colors of the layout. I paint them white a lot so they can be easily seen.
Hope you like this and that it not only inspires you to re-use some of your favorite photos, but that you will try the "Black & White Plus One" color scheme.
Be back in a few weeks with more fabulous 2Crafty fabulousness!
