This layout was built around the Panelled Door that I wanted to age
reflecting all the old houses in the background of my photo. I love the
end result and the Swirly Heart bringing a little love to my holiday
memory on the corner of my layout.

After applying some Distress Crackle paste over the Gesso coat with a
palette knife, I scraped the edges clean and let it dry. While I waited I
glued some printed paper to the back piece. Then I watercolored with
Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet over the Crackle highlighting gorgeous
aged cracks. Once dry glue the two pieces together.
Then I added one of the Element set pieces to the middle which I painted
with Tattered Rose and sponged a little Aged Mahogany Paint on top.
Finished the Door off gluing a door knob on.
Love the Corner Swirly Heart sitting in the corner of my layout as a
feature. I painted the piece with Distress Aged Mahogany and once dry,
I dry brushed it with Tattered Rose paint to mimic the aged look.
Blending Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany Oxide inks together
on my title gave a soft finish. As a contrast the Circle Accent had some
Aged Mahogany Paint brushed over highlighting the texture from the
Gesso sponged on below.
Love the Foliage detail added around the flowers on my layout
coloured with Victorian Velvet Oxide and dabbed some Tattered
Rose on top.
Distress Paints and Oxides have truly transformed all the chipboard
choices for my layout, coordinating with my papers beautifully. Thanks
