Hi everyone. Welcome back to the amazing 2Crafty Blog!
Today I'm sharing a layout that I created all from scratch. I drew my inspiration from a digital design I saw on Pinterest. Since I didn't have the striped paper I wanted to use, I created my own. A lot of cutting and glueing. I was a little cross-eyed by the time I got each stripe glued down, but I think it worked out pretty good. Hope you like it.
BLOOM & Grow
2Crafty goodies I used:
Lacey Border Set 1
Ginny's flourish Set
Corine's Swirl
BLOOM & Grow Mini Title
Remember to Gesso those Chippies, ladies!
I surrounded 3 sides of this layout with one of the borders from the Lacey Border Set. I tucked the edges under the paper, which I glued to a large piece of chipboard. This was so that it would be sturdy and lay flat without any bulges from the borders. I simply painted the borders with White Acrylic Paint.
Here is the bottom of the layout showing more of the border from the Lacey Border Set.
I added Corine's Swirl along with one of the flourishes from Ginny's Flourish Set at the left top corner of the photo. I thought this would balance with the height of the last doily at the end of the page. Also to add a different design. I painted them both with Sandridge, from the Prima Woodlands Water Color Set.
The title, Bloom & Grow, is just perfect with this cute little girl.
Love it! I painted it with White Acrylic Paint playing off the white of the doilies.
Hope this inspires you to try creating your own patterned paper. It's work, but worth it.
See you in a few weeks with more from 2Crafty.
