LIFE IS SHORT ENJOY the RIDE
by Robin Schelin

Hi Everyone, glad you stopped by today.

I love this photo! I wish that was me. I have never been on a train ride, and would absolutely LOVE to go on one! Maybe someday.
Until then, I will live vicariously through my scrapbook pages!

LIFE IS SHORT ENJOY the RIDE

2Crafty Chipboard used:

Dainty Foliage Stems

Chevron Bits

Life's a Journey ENYOY the RIDE

LIFE IS SHORT TAKE the journey

As always, a good coating of Gesso before altering.

I just love the Dainty Foliage Stems. I have used them before, and I really like how they add just the right amount of texture and interest. Here I painted the foliage with 'Mist' from the Prima Woodlands Watercolor set. The stem, between the foliage bits, was painted with Raw Umber Acrylic Paint just to create visible separation between them.

On the upper right I added a few of the Chevron Bits, painted with White Acrylic Paint just to add a little texture. I thought about painting them blue, but decided that it would be too much, so I just painted them with White Acrylic Paint instead.

More of the Dainty Foliage Stems on the right to round out the design.

Here are a few more of the Chevron Bits on the bottom left to balance out the texture,

For the title, I did my thing and cut up two titles. I do this often to get the look I'm going for that best fits the space. I used 'LIFE IS SHORT' from the title LIFE IS SHORT TAKE the JOURNEY. This was painted with a mix of Iridescent Rich Silver, Neutral Gray and Black Acrylic Paint.

Then I cut and used 'ENJOY the RIDE from the title LIFE'S A JOURNEY ENJOY the RIDE. I wanted this to be lighter, but in keeping with the same color tone. I painted this with a mix of Iridescent Rich Silver, Neutral Gray and White Acrylic Paint, trying to match the off white of the paper.

And there it is. Hope you like it. I'll be back later in the month with another layout showcasing beautiful 2Crafty Chippies. Until then...
