Well, now that the Holidays are over, and we all survived, it's time to relax. Maybe in a quiet corner with a yummy cup of coffee!
"Tranquil Moments"
Chipboard I used:
Lattice Leaves
Tranquil Moments
Filmstrips Small
I am a big fan of using Gesso on the chipboard, but on this layout I only used Gesso on the title.
I cut one of the Filmstrips Small in half and used them to create a long one running down the center in back of the photo. I placed them in the center of an acetate filmstrip that I also cut in half. I think using the acetate highlights the chipboard filmstrip. Because of the beige colors of her clothes, I left the chipboard filmstrip raw trying to pick up on those colors.
Here is the bottom of the photo with the other half of the Filmstrip Small.
I tucked in a few Lattice Leaves on the right side under the flowers and left them raw as well.
More Lattice Leaves on the left just to balance with the right side. For the title Tranquil Moments, I first covered it with White Gesso, then painted it with White Acrylic Paint.
I hope you like this, and that this has prompted you to take some time for yourself and find a quiet place to unwind. Truth be told, I have a place that I go to for this very thing. Quite frequently!!
