Welcome to the blog today, I'm reluctantly sharing this layout after
hours of editing this image I don't like the finished result. I guess
sometimes things don't work out as you like but at least you can see
how I used the 2Crafty Chipboard and hopefully still be inspired to
give the ideas a go anyway.
2Crafty Chipboard used...
Leafy Shrub set 1
Oversized Film Strip 11'
Arrow word set 2
Frame Heart Strings
Foliage set 9
This Heart is so cute I thought I would turn it into a feature by laying
over the saying and cutting it out. It didn't quite fit on the sides so I
covered the gaps with flowers and you wouldn't even know now.
I painted the Heart Frame with a soft peach colour.
These Leafy Shrub pieces are a favourite as they combine leaves and pretty
swirls together. I embossed with Peach powder being a little heavier on the
leaves for some colour contrast.
Adding the Foliage pieces in with shades of Blue Watercolour adds an
extra pop of colour to the floral clusters. Also adds a different texture compared
to the Leafy Shrub shiny embossed finish.
I cut the bottom off the Film Strip to make a two photo frame. I used
Clear embossing powder over the Gesso so it wasn't a stark White,
allowing the other pieces to shine. I glued it to a piece of printed paper
and cut openings for my photos which highlights the details in the Film
Strip beautifully.
Until next time...
