Sunshine & Blue Skies
By Charmane Sharp

Welcome to the blog for a Summer layout to take you to the beach and
look for seashells. My boys love the beach and a day spent fishing. I created
this one to frame, for my boys to remember a wonderful day spent together.

2Crafty Chipboard used…

Title- Sunshine & Blue skies
Seashells set 2
Fishing net bits
Old Fence
Frame Chained Circles
Pelican

What a wonderful title for my layout. I cut the and symbol of so I could mount
Sunshine with a bend to sit on the top of my resin Window frame. I opted for
soft finish so used my favourite watercolours to achieve an ombre finish after
Gesso coating all my pieces of course. Then I brushed on some small Art Stones
 with Matte Gel.

I love how adding two Chain Frames around my photo puts the focus on my boys.
While also bringing in the look of an anchor chain. I used Finnabair waxes in Blue
Lagoon and Old Silver to transform them.

Fishing Net Bits were added for some texture. A little watercolour and some
Art Stones gives the pieces a beach vibe.

I just love the Old Fence which I cut in half to sit either side of my photo.
By sponging on the Gesso I was able to create a little texture for the
Watercolour to bring out and make it look a little like old wood. Finishing
with the Art Stones to match the other chipboard pieces.

It's not the seaside without some Seashells, so I tucked them under the fence
and next to my photo mixing with resin ones for contrast. I love how watercolours
bring them to life. So easy to bring out more colour in the layout.

My cute Pelican friend came to life with a little Watercolour painting. He
adds some interest to the layout.

Wishing you all a wonderful day at the beach this Summer. I hope you are
inspired to create a mixed media layout to frame your memories.
