ONCE UPON Christmas EVE
by Robin Schelin

Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog.

Well, just a couple days away! Hope you're ready and don't have too many last minute things to do. I always have a little 'last minute madness' happening at my house. Wouldn't be Christmas any other way!

This photo made me laugh because it reminds my of my grandson who starts looking for Santa as soon as the tree goes up....in November!!
Krazy Kid, drives us nuts!!

'ONCE UPON A Christmas EVE'

Beautiful 2Crafty I used:
Linear Snowflakes
Swirly Holly Set
ONCE UPON A dream
Christmas Cuties

As always, Gesso, Gesso, Gesso those chippies ladies!

I chose to use 2 of the Linear Snowflakes on this layout because they are the same snowflakes that are on the Swirly Holly Set. That was a happy discovery! I painted them with White Acrylic Paint, then sprinkled them with Crystal Fine White Glitter.

Here's the other Linear Snowflake at the bottom right under the flowers.

Isn't the Swirly Holly Set just divine!! So Christmas-y! One of my favorite Christmas chippie pieces. I have so many favorites, though. Hard to pick just a few. But this one is definitely at the top of the list. I heat embossed the swirls with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder and painted the snowflake the same as the Linear Snowflakes.

The title is composed of 2 different titles that I cut up to come up with the title I wanted. I've said it before, the titles from 2Crafty are beautiful, but, you can always customize to make them your own. I do that a lot. I try to make the title I choose fit with the photo I use and the theme of the layout. Think I nailed it here!
'ONCE UPON A' was taken from the title ONCE UPON A dream. I painted it with Gold Acrylic Paint, then went over it with White Gesso. 'Christmas' was taken from Christmas Cuties. I painted this with Naphthol Crimson Acrylic Paint. Then I added the word 'EVE' from my stash.

Below the title I placed another swirly from the Swirly Holly Set.

I want to wish you all a joyous Christmas and a very Happy New Year. I also want to thank you for your support this past year. 2Crafty wouldn't be here if it weren't for crafters like you.
So, here's to 2025 (lifting an imaginary glass) A new year filled with new inspiration and products to fill our every crafting need!
