thankful ~ by Robin Schelin

 Hi everyone. Glad you stopped by today.

Next week we celebrate Thanksgiving here in the US. It's a time for getting family together, enjoying wonderful food, and expressing thanks for our many blessings.
 It's also the official kick start to the holidays.

"thankful"

2Crafty Chippies I used;
Textured Tile Bits
thankful
French Lace Border

As always, I used Gesso on the chipboard before altering.

At the top of the photo, I placed a piece of the French Lace Border just to add more color in this area. I painted it with a mix of Raw Sienna and Gold Acrylic Paint to match the leaves.

Under the flowers up top I added one of the Textured Tile Bits. I love these little bits for adding texture. I think they work well on this layout coordinating with the grid pattern on the paper. I painted it with 'Greystone' from the Prima Woodlands Watercolor set.

I heat embossed the title, thankful, with Imagine Ink Tangerine embossing powder. If you look closely, you can see that on the 'h' I messed it up a little bit. Touched it when it wasn't completely cool. Memo to self: walk away for a minute when you are done heating it!!! Decided it use it anyway as I didn't have another 'thankful' title to use.

Under the title, I placed another piece of the Textured Tile Bits to complete the title area and to add to the grid pattern of the paper on the other side of the flowers.

Hope you like this little reminder to always to thankful. For one thing, we are blessed to have found this wonderful crafting hobby to express our creativity. And blessed to have found 2Crafty Chipboard!!
See you all in a couple of weeks with the start of a month of Christmas inspiration.
