It's the Little Things
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone, so glad you stopped by.

Today I am sharing a layout about appreciating the simple things. I mean, who doesn't love a
basket of apples! Delicious!

"It's the Little Things"

2Crafty goodness I used:
Addy's Butterflies
It's the Little Things
Morrocan

As always, prime the chipboard first.

I cut the Moroccan piece in half. I used half at the top and half at the bottom of the photo stack. I painted them with a mix of Cadmium Red Light Hue, Primary Red and Gold Acrylic Paint. I wanted to draw out the color of the apples in the photo, and the apples on either side of the photo. I thought it needed some red accents to pop against al that green!

I painted one of the Addy's Butterflies the same red as the Morrocan piece. Again, just to add another pop of red. I outlined the butterfly on a piece of yellow Paper, cut it out and glued it to the back so it stood out more and didn't get lost up in that corner.

On the bottom here, is the other half of the Morrocan piece. I placed it here on the bottom to balance it out with the top.

The title It's the Little Things, was first painted with Tin Pewter Acrylic Paint. I then went over it with White Gesso to match the little girl's blouse. I'm all about trying to match the colors on the layout with the colors in the photo.

And there it is, a little layout about the little things in life. Hope you like it and are inspired to draw your colors from your fabulous photos!

Until next time xxx
