"Christmas 2015"
A Family Christmas Layout
By Di Garling

Hello there, thanks so much for calling by the blog.
Today I have another Christmas layout to share with you
& it features this gorgeous photo that was taken on Christmas Day
back in 2015 of myself with my eldest son Beau & his daughter Mia.
I had assembled a bunch of props in readiness for our photo shoot
including this big frame I'm holding & of course lots of Chrissy hats too.

2Crafty Chipboard Used…
11” Holly Frame Set (cut up)
2015 Dates
Love at Christmas - title (cut up)
ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars
6” Tanyahs Border
Stars Pack
Mini Christmas Word Stick - Christmas Set #1 (cut up)
Ornament Sampler

So to start my layout I proceeded to create a very subtle mixed media
background, I created some layers behind my photo & then went about
giving all these gorgeous Christmas chippie pieces a makeover!!

Everything was given a coat of white gesso to start & then I began to colour
up all the chippie pieces with some acrylic paints. All these gorgeous holly
pieces were cut apart from the middle frame from the "Holly Frame Set". The red berries
were then given a coat of glossy accents to make them shine & pop off the page !!

I did the same to the title which I had cut the word "Christmas" off of the
"Love at Christmas" title & also the bows on the Christmas baubles which I
had also cut from the "Christmas Sampler" as well as the "2015" date piece too.

All the foliage pieces were painted in green acrylic & then brushed
over with some gold to create some accents. The "6" Tanyahs Flourish", after cutting
it into two pieces, was also given a light coat of gold acrylic paint & also as was the
“Christmas Joy” wordstrip.

Lastly I used a selection of different size stars from the
"Star Pack". These were painted in red acrylic paint &
then rubbed over with some red Stickles glitter glue.

All finished. I hope you like it.
This ones going straight in my album !! 😉❤️🎄

Until next time....
