FRIENDS are the best
by Robin Schelin

Hello ladies, so glad you could pop in today!

Today I am sharing a layout of a photo that I just love! Speaks to my heart knowing how good dogs are at being true friends. I mean, you can trust them with your deepest secret. They actually look at you when you are talking to them. They feel with you when you're sad or don't feel good.  They are so happy to see you even if you are only out of their sight for a few minutes. They will go anywhere with you. I could go on and on ... they are just amazing!

" FRIENDS are the best"

Beautiful Chipboard I used:
Aged Film Strips
Mixed Fine Border Set
these FRIENDS are the best

Always use a primer on your chipboard before altering, it will give you the best results.  I use Gesso.

I cut the Aged Film Strip in half and placed half on top and half on the bottom of the photo. Love these little films strips and have used them often. I painted them with Pewter Acrylic Paint. They are shiny and a little sparkly, but the picture didn't really pick that up.

Running down the middle of the filmstrips is one of the pieces from the Mixed Fine Border Set. I painted it with Deep Violet Acrylic Paint. I wanted something to add contrast and color to the middle of the film strips. Painting it Violet went well with the colors in the flowers.

Here is the bottom of the photo, mimicking the top.

This title is PERFECT! And so true!! I cut off  'these' from these FRIENDS are the best, and just used 'friends are the best'. I would've left 'these' on, but it didn't fit right. Wonderful thing about the titles from 2Crafty, is that you can easily cut them up! Which I do to get the look I'm going for! I first painted it with Pewter Acrylic Paint, then went over it with Glaze from Prima's Shimmering Lights Watercolor Set. I think I got a pretty good match to the color of the dog and flowers.

Hope you like this layout and that I have inspired you to scrap photos of your canine friends.
See you next month.
Robin
