Today ~ by Robin Schelin

Hi everybody!

Robin here, back again to share a layout enhanced with gorgeous 2Crafty goodness! Today, a bright, flowery, summery layout because it is definitely bright, flowery and summery where I am! I just love summer in Colorado, so I have incorporated some of the colors in our garden. Hope you like!

"Today"

2Crafty Chipboard used:

Love Today

Circle Flowers

Baroque Lace Border

One word ...GESSO (those fabulous chippies)

This layout is so full that I decided to only use a few chipboard pieces. I wanted them to be seen an not get lost in all those flowers. So just a few.

I painted the Baroque Lace Border with White acrylic Paint and placed it running down the left of the photo. This gives length to the composition. Painting it white adds texture without overpowering the layout.

Here in the title area, I first places one of the small Circle Flowers under the flowers. I painted it with a mix of Primary Yellow and Naples Yellow Hue and then brushed over it very lightly with White Gesso. I  cut a small red circle, placed it on top, and then added the sentiment.

I took the word 'Today' from the title Love Today and glued it down covering the bottom of the Circle Flower. This was painted with White Acrylic Paint.

Here is the bottom of the Baroque Lace Border.  All of the chipboard is on the left side of the layout. I know that they're not spread out to the right side or center, which is what I usually do to try to create balance, but I think it works.

Hope you like this colorful reminder of summer! See you back in a few weeks....
