"Dreamer" - by Robin Schelin

Hello 2Crafty fans! Welcome to the blog.

Today I'm sharing a layout of my friends little girl. She is such a beauty, and this is one of my favorite photos of her. As soon as I got the photo, I knew how I wanted to scrap it. 2Crafty had the perfect chipboard to not only compliment the photo, but the patterned paper as well!

"Dreamer"

2Crafty chipboard used:

Leafy Shrub Set 1

Leafy Shrub Set 2

French Lace Border

Dreamer

One word....GESSO...those chippes!

Here on the upper left side of the photo, I placed one of the shrub pieces from the Leafy Shrub Set 2. I used an oldie but goodie, Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist in Fern, to alter it. I wanted a deep green to go along with the deep green on the patterned paper. Tucked in here behind the leaves, I think it adds balance to the overall composition.

The title, Dreamer, was also sprayed with the Tattered Angels chalkboard mist. Again, to keep in harmony with the paper.

Under the title, I tucked in a piece of the French Lace Border to add a little femininity and interest. I painted it with a mix of Unbleached Titanium and Light Pink Acrylic Paint. This is to compliment the matting behind the photo on the upper right.

On the bottom, under the leaves, is another shrub piece from Leafy Shrub Set 2. This was also altered with the Tattered Angels Spray. I placed this here to extend the main flower cluster down for balance, and to compliment the upper left of the photo.

On the right side of the photo, I wanted something bigger, so I went with one of the shrub pieces from the Leafy Shrub Set 1. I love how it sweeps up the side of the photo! This, also altered with the Tattered Angels Spray, lends to the overall leafy theme of the layout.

Hope I have inspired you to alter your chipboard pieces to suit the theme on your patterned paper. Whatever the theme is, 2Crafty has chipboard to work perfectly!! And remember you can purchase direct from their store - www.2crafty.com.au

See you next time xx
