Hi everybody! Welcome to the blog.
It's Autumn here in the US, and it's in full swing! Autumn is all about the leaves changing, cool crisp air and PUMPKINS!! Just ask any kid and they will tell you that, besides Halloween, pumpkin patches are the most fun you can have before Christmas!!
This is my granddaughter and grandson a few years back from one of their many many trips to the pumpkin patch!
"Pure Joy"
Beautiful 2Crafty used:
Foliage Set 6
Mixed Fine Border Set
Pure Joy
All of the chippies were first coated with white gesso, as always!
Here at the very top of the layout I placed one of the little borders from the Mixed Fine Border Set. I wanted to add just a bit of color and design to the top to break up all the white. I painted it with a mix of Red Oxide and Cadmium Orange Hue Acrylic Paint.
Also here is one of the leave from the Foliage Set 6. This layout didn't need a whole lot of added color because of all the color in the other elements, so I just gave the leaves a light coating of Viva Light Moss Green Paper Soft Color.
Here's another leaf peeking out the left side.
For the title, Pure Joy, I wanted it to pop against all the other colors, so I painted the word' pure' with white acrylic Paint and the word 'Joy' with Prism Violet Acrylic Paint. So many times, especially on a layout like this with so much color, the title can get lost. Painting it this way and placing it on the plain green background, it's sure to be seen!
And on the bottom of the layout, another little border like the one up top. I placed this here to try to create balance of color and design.
One last title leaf peeking out on the right to mimic the one one the left, and the layout is complete.
Hope you like this layout about our trip to the Pumpkin Patch. The kids had a blast! I'll be back in a few weeks with my first Christmas layout for this year. Can you believe it?? Time goes soooo. fast! See you then...
