Hi everyone, welcome to the blog.
I'm back to share my last layout of August with you.
Don't you love it when you see a particular paper and just know exactly which photo, chipboard and colors you are going to use on it? And then it just falls into place?
This one was like that for me. How wonderful when you don't have to rack your brain to make something you like come together!
"Simple Moments"
Beautiful 2Crafty I used:
6" Circle Revolution Frames
Spring Flower Bunches
Mini Flourish Bits
Simple Moments make Great Memories
As always, I first coated the chipboard with gesso.
I used the 6" Circle Revolution Frame here, kind of playing off the circles on the patterned paper, to add more depth. I used Prima's Confetti Watercolor Set - Orange, and Prima's Shimmering LightsWatercolor Set - Glaze and Disco, to mimic the colors of the circles on the paper. Then I cut it at an angle, placing it coming around from the back of the photo.
These are the very pretty Spring Flower Bunches. On the bottom ones I just put a light coat of white gesso. By not putting on a second coat, they kept the light grey color.
On the others, I used the same Prima Watercolors as on the 6" Circle Revolution Frame.
Here I tucked in a swirl from the Mini Flourish Bits under the flowers just to extend the composition. This also was painted with the same watercolors as the previous chipboard.
On the title piece, Simple Moments make Great Memories, I cut the "make Great Moments" off. (to be used on another project) I thought something small would look better in this small space. I first coated it with black gesso, then painted it with Greystone from Prima's Woodlands Watercolor set.
And there it is. Added some of my favorite flowers and a few rub-ons and it's finished. Hope you like it and that it has inspired you.
Until next month, stay safe and keep crafting.
