"always BE TRUE" by Robin Schelin

Hello everyone! welcome back to the blog.

Hope you are all well, and that you are enjoying this beautiful time of the year!

Today I am sharing a bright, summery layout.  I don't usually do "bright" because I have a hard time with the colors.  But I thought I would give it a shot, and I'm happy with the results!

"always BE TRUE"

The wonderful 2Crafty Chipboard I used:

Fine Word Set 1

Corine's Swirl

Hessian Patch Panel

Mini Swirl Set 1

Filagree Arrows

Mini Decorative Frame Set 6

I just love the Hessian Panel.  Reminded me of grass, so I coated it with white gesso, then applied Paper Soft Color in Moss Green.

I cut up Corine's Swirl and used it on the left top, left bottom and on the right side of the layout.  I covered it with white gesso then painted it with purple Acrylic Paint.  I was really happy with the way I could spread this piece around the layout.

I tucked in one of the frames from the Mini Decorative Frame Set 6 up under the flowers on the left.  I also used white gesso, then painted it with a peach color Acrylic Paint.

I added a few swirls from the Mini swirl Set 6 just to fill in the bottom between the little cut pieces of
Corine's Swirl with another color.  I used white gesso on these too, and then painted them with a peach Acrylic Paint same as the Decorative frame.

Don't you just LOVE the arrow?  I love all the arrows in the Filagree Arrows set!  I again used white gesso (I always cover my chipboard with white gesso. Then when I embellish it, I get the true color I'm going for!) Then painted it with Purple Acrylic Paint.

There on the top right is another cut piece of  Corine's Swirl.  I often will cut up my chipboard to get  maximum use of it.  Above the flowers is the last piece.

There's that Fabulous arrow again!  I used it to draw the eye down to the title.  I used the word  "always" from the Fine Word Set 1.  I again gave it a coat of white  gesso, following with
Acrylic Paint.

And there it is!  Hope you like it, and make the time to experiment on different ways to use your chipboard!

Until next time, stay safe and happy scrapping!
