Hello friends,
In anticipation of spring, here are two projects with lots of pink, teal & mint.
Hope you enjoy the projects & video.
'Love you'
For this 12X12 layout I've used a gel plate to make the background over
a collage of pretty Maggie Holmes pattern papers.
After cutting off the border, the entire 6x6 Fiddlesticks panel is layered up behind the photograph.
I've also added a few of Chevron Bits around the page, as you can see above.
All the chipboard pieces were coated with white gesso and painted over with Colourarte
paints in mint, pink & deep pink. For the title using paints I've given an Ombre effect.

Art Journal
My next project share this month is an art journal page in an old book purchased at the library.
There
are many tutorials online on how to prepare a book for painting on, but
I'm happy to
share the long and short of the process if you cant find any that you like.

As always, the first step was to cover all the 2crafty chipboard pieces with white gesso.
Dry well, before painting them. The Chevron bits chipboard got only one layer of
Colourarte acrylic silks.

The
kite had been painted blue & orange for another project and never
got used. So, I covered
it with white gesso and gave it a few layers of twinkling H2Os. Happy to say the Kite
chipboard not just survived the layers of paint, but soared up in its splendid colours really well!

Last
but not the least, the title also received a couple of layers of paint
before I finally decided
on the colour scheme Teal, pink & white. Layering Teal on top of green gave it a beautiful
shine & depth. The white is from a Uniball white marker.
