CLICK Capture
by Robin Schelin

Hi everybody, welcome to the beautiful month of June.

Today I'm sharing a layout I made "just because". No special photo, no special event, no story. Just because I liked the photo. Sometimes a particular photo just grabs your attention and you feel the need to create art around it. That was the case here. Hope you like it.

2Crafty yumminess I used:

Fencing Wire Panel

Frame Mini Doodled Set

As I always do, I first coated all the chipboard piece with Gesso for a good base before altering.

Starting at the top of the photo, I placed the largest frame in the Frame Mini Doodled Set next to the flowers. I painted it with Nautical Chalk Paint, and then glued paper underneath it to add contrast against the background paper. And then added a word strip to complete this area.

Underneath the photo, I cut the Fencing WIre Panel and tucked a piece of it under the photo on both sides. I just painted it with 2 coats of White Gesso to get good coverage. I glued it on top of the darker solid blue to get good contrast.

I then mimicked the same thing on the other side of the photo for balance.

I love this new title from 2Crafty. I thought it went really well with this photo with the phone on the table (CLICK) and writing in the journal (Capture). My mind goes to some great lengths trying to get the titles right with the photos I use. Granted, sometimes it's a stretch! I painted it with Nautical Chalk Paint, the same as the frame at the top to balance out the colors and create depth.

And that's it. My layout for no particular reason other than I like the photo! Art doesn't need a rhyme or reason, just what pleases you!

See you back in a few weeks with more 2Crafty goodness.
