Everyday Story
By Charmane Sharp

Charmane here with you today, to share a layout I created with two
pieces of paper from a Mintay Art Journal pad that I placed down the middle
making the design look as if the flowers are coming out from the middle. I
also cut other elements from Mintay books to coordinate, like the Seed Stems
and Floral pieces.

Frame Celia's Flourish
Title- Everyday Story

After a coat of Gesso on my 2Crafty pieces I watercolored Everyday Story
with a soft Peach shade and brushed some Gesso over. Then I used a dirty
Versamark ink pad and used Clear embossing Powder. This gave me flecks
in the finish to distinguish the finish result from the Peach shades below it.

By placing a Mini Hannah Flourish on either side of my photo it acts
as a frame extension from my image. I used watercolour shades of Teal
and Green to colour it and dry Gesso over the top once dry.

I cut a floral wreath from a Mintay Floral book and placed Celia's Frame
over the top for a dimensional look. Then built my flower cluster on the
bottom so it stood out as a feature in the middle of my layout. I
Watercoloured it with a shade of Peach and dabbed some off in places
for contrast so it wasn't all one shade.

As I already had 2Crafty Chipboard focused in the middle of my layout I
opted to created my own foliage this time by making a Distress Oxide background
on a piece of White Card. I built up layers of Evergreen Bough, Cracked Pistachio,
Iced Spruce and Picket Fence by pressing the card through the puddles on my craft
mat drying in between. Then I die cut leaves from it giving me varying shades of
Aqua Greens.

Until next time.
