Hi everyone, Welcome to the fabulous 2Crafty Blog. So glad you could join me today.
For my last project for April, I'm sharing a layout of my Great Niece and Nephew from many years ago. This photo was actually printed as a card, so the image is not the best. I tried to scan it and clean it up, but it didn't work. But I love this photo of them, so I'm using it anyway. This was back when they really were sweet. They since have added a set of twins to the family, so competition for sweetness is stretched thin!
So Sweet
2Crafty Chipboard used;
Foliage Set 15
Frame Handrawn Hearts
Photo Adornment Squiggly Heart Cluster
So Sweet
As usual, all the chipboard was prepped with White Gesso before I altered it.
Behind the photo, I placed the large heart from the Frame Handrawn Hearts. I painted it with Parchment Acrylic Paint.
I cut the Photo Adornment Squiggly Heart Cluster, and placed half of it here at the left of the photo. This was also painted with Parchment Acrylic Paint. It's a kind of hard to see, because the paper is a little busy on this side, but I want all the hearts to be the same color.
Above the hearts, I tucked in one of my favorites from 2Crafty. This is the one of the pieces from the Foliage Set 15. I painted the stems with Parchment Acrylic Paint, and the bulbs with Barcelona Beige Chalk Paint.
On the right, I added more of the Foliage Set 15 and the other half of the Photo Adornment Squiggly Heart Cluster. Much easier to see on this side.
The title, So Sweet, is perfect for this photo. They really were 'So Sweet' back then! After I painted the title with white Gesso, and decided to leave at that. Because of the muted colors of this layout, I thought painting it with White Paint would make it too stark.
Hope you like this and you have been inspired. I will be back next month where I hope to inspire you again. Until then, keep scrapping!
xx
