Your Smile
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone, welcome to the wonderful 2Crafty blog.

Today I'm sharing a layout with a photo that just makes me happy! This little girl tugs at my heartstrings. I've been in a chair myself, so I can relate. In my case, I remember being very grateful that it was only temporary and that I was going to walk again!  I was smiling too!

"Your Smile"

Beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard I used:

Leafy Shrub Set 1

Your Smile is like Sunshine

Remember to always prime your chipboard before altering. I like to use gesso.

When I was choosing the chipboard for this layout, I tried a lot of different ones. But the Leafy Shrub Set 1 was the one that gave me the versatility and effect that really highlighted this photo.

I chose 1 of the swirls to use (the middle one in the photo of the chippies used). I had 3 of them, and thought why not cut them up and use them all around the layout. I first painted them with black Gesso, then painted them with Moss from the Prima Confetti Watercolor set.

Here is another piece of the Leafy Shrub Set 1 on the right of the photo.

On the bottom, I again used pieces that I cut from the Leafy Shrub Set 1. When using chipboard, there is always a part of it that gets covered by flowers or other embellishments. Instead of covering it up, cut it off and use it somewhere else on the layout.

The title says it all! It tells me that you can find joy in any circumstance. I cut 'YourSmile' from the title Your Smile is like Sunshine. I really wanted to use the whole title, but this one was too big for the space. I will use the rest of it on another project. I wanted the title to really pop so I painted it with White Acrylic Paint for a nice contrast against the green of the background.

I hope you like this, and that you have been inspired to cut up your chipboard pieces and spread the love! Sometimes you don't need a lot of different pieces, just a lot of the same piece!

Till next time
xx
