I'm happy to share my first layout of the month. We love our best friends, right? Even if that best friend is a dog. Maybe ESPECIALLY if they are a dog! To me, there is nothing more precious than a child with their puppy!

Mini Chunky Funky Bits
Feathered Friends
Spring Flower Bunches
I applied Gesso to the chipboard first to get a good base for altering.
I placed one of the Mini Chunky Funky Bits at the top of the layout above the design on the paper just to add a little texture and dimension. I painted it with White Acrylic Paint to blend in with the paper.
Among the flower cluster I added a sprig from the Spring Flower Bunches. I placed it here to break up the color of the flowers. I just went over it with a light coat of White Gesso because I wanted it to look a little grungy.
Here at the bottom I placed another piece of the Spring Flower Bunches to balance with the top. This was altered the same way with a light coat of White Gesso. Sometimes all you need is Gesso to get the effect you want.
Also at the bottom is another one of the Mini Chunky Funky Bits. As at the top, I placed this here to add texture and dimension.
I just used 'Friends' from the title Feathered Friends. I think the size of this, and the font, was perfect for the title. I painted it with a mix of Foxberry and Redwood from the Prima Woodlands Water Color Set. I wanted the title to match the color of the flowers just to the right of it.
