This Is The Good Life by Tracee Provis
Hi I am so happy to be with you today sharing my first 2Crafty Design Team projects with you. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderfully creative team. I have had such fun painting, inking and embossing the chipboard pieces.
My first page is quite plain and simple and I simply let the chipboard pieces do the talking.
I chose the title This Is Me and used it as the main focus of my page. I first gave the whole title a layer of Gesso, I wanted to cover the "Me" part of the title with patterned paper so I simply traced round the part I wanted to cover, cut it out and glued it over the word. For a little more contrast I inked the edges with black ink.
I love to fussy cut my photo's and I found the perfect seat for me in the form of the Mushrooms set.
I first painted the spots on the mushroom with white paint then embossed over these so that the red paint wouldn't bleed onto my dots. After I had painted them I embossed again over the whole piece to give it a nice shiny look.
The Hello circle from Word Circles set 1 was given the same paint treatment and I layered over a word sticker in red to add in a pop of the colour to match my mushrooms. I embossed the tiny butterflies from the ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars set with gold embossing powder and sprinkled them around the page. From the same set I also added a small painted red heart to my title.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces on my page.

With these being my first layouts for 2 crafty I wanted to show you a couple of things about me and a huge part of my life are my dogs, we love to take them on a holiday to the beach each year and this photograph was taken on our last trip.
The phrase title This is the Good Life was perfect to explain what the photo means to me, as I had a lot of space on the left side of my pic I placed the title there. It was layered over the Handrawn Heart Frame set that I painted with a coat of gesso.
I embossed with gold embossing powder the Corner Jacqui's Flourish and tucked these into either side of my main cluster, I added some small metal dots to parts of the flourish as an accent. When layering up the heart frames I wanted them to interlock so I carefully cut one part of the smaller one and after looping it through the bigger one I glued it back together so that they both look unbroken.
After placing my main cluster in a position I was happy with I thought it needed a little something more, I cut in half one of the Film Strips Tiny and leaving them raw placed them at either sides of my page. A few little embossed stars from the ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars set completed the layout.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces on my page.
