Hi there friends, Happy New Year to you all.

Thanks for stopping by.  Today I want to start off with a Christmas layout

that was a commission piece for the Christmas edition of 

Scrapbooking Memories magazine. It's on page 37.

(That is our own DT member Fiona Paltridge on the cover too)

I cut some pieces off the Flourish Ornament Border,

painted them green & then gave them a lick of green Stickles glitter.

All the other chippie pieces were simply heat embossed

with gold embossing powder for a real festive feel.

These little Mini Christmas Words were just the 

perfect thing for my title.

I do so love this 6" Tahnya's Border layered up with

the Holly Leaves & Holly Branch.

Lots of glitter & sparkle here to create a festive mood.

I have applied gold glitter to my background with a stencil too.

For my second layout today I have done a layout
featuring my gorgeous Grandaughter Mia.

First up I snipped off the "S" from the end of the title to suit my layout.

Now this is a super easy layout to create.

After firstly cutting my photos to fit this gorgeous new frame,

set the photos aside for the moment.

STEP #1

First up collect a hole heap of left over bits of 2Crafty chippies

& just start off by gluing them all down.

Bits of this & that & stick them all down.

STEP #2

Next I sponged on a fairly thick coat of gesso over everything.

Either dry naturally & dry off with a heat gun.

STEP #3

Pick at least two or more  colours of mist (any brand) & apply to all the

chippie bits using a soft paint brush.

  Viola. All done. Quite an effective technique & a great way to use up all those left over bits, oh & don't you just LOOOOVE these NEW "Doodled Frames" & "Decorative Rod Set". Naturally I used lots of yummy 2Crafty chippies & I simply just

inked them all black. It doesn't get much simpler & I love the way

the black pops, against the bright colours.

I think this little quote really sums up this beautiful lady.
