With a Wink to...."Piet Mondrian"

Hi, Wilma here today !
I am so happy you took the time to see my blogpost in these busy times.
I don't know what came over me, but my scrapbooking mojo
has been on vacation for the past several weeks.
I feel sad about that, and I sure hope the feeling comes back soon
.
However the creative feeling is not gone and I think it will never be gone.
I just don't feel the need to use pictures at the moment.
Lucky that chipboard is not limited to scrapbooking only.
I made this art journal page as a part of my "with a wink" video series.

When I saw the square Collage Panel the first time I knew right away it would
be a favourite shape for me.

I love the design and it reminded me of  the artist, "Piet Mondrian"
from The Netherlands who is known for his
abstract grid based panels style of  paintings.

Square Collage Panel (units of 3)

So todays "wink" is to him.
After all I was born and raised in Holland!

I cut up the panel into pieces and painted them in the typical Mondrian colors.
I wanted to use paintmarkers to get a tight look, but out of habit I added gesso.
No problem, paint is always ok.

If you want to see how I did this page, here is the short start to finish video:
