Hello lovely 2Crafty friends.
I have some colorful creations to share this month.
The first one is about my little boy, although I have used these photos that
were taken about a year ago, I still cannot stop admiring how he is
impressed by anything, every other day, and the
wonder and excitement in his eyes.
I started with the 2Crafty "Corner Sign Post",
that I turned upside down and topped it with one of the my photos.
I primed it with gesso, then added embossing powder, after that I misted with
golden- brown spray and colored it with a brush .
Then I topped it with one of the moustaches from "Moustache Set".
I primed, misted and then inked the edges with chalk ink.
The same technique was used on the second Moustache,
just with a different color spray.
I also used some "Leafy Silhouettes". These are fine and delicate and I have
primed and colored with watercolours, using a brush.
My second project is a vintage mixed media book cover.
I used a piece from the 2Crafty " Chess Set".
This has been primed with a heavy gesso, then sprayed with brown and golden mist,
after that had dried I have covered a half of it with Glimmer Glaze and emebllished
with a tiny crown charm.
Next I have used the "Frame Vintage Oval".
I embossed it partly with red powder, misted and colored with gelatos and glaze,
leaving this wonderful finish of blended colour.
Lastly, I have used the "Circle Revolution Frame" which
I coloured with Gelatos and then glazed.
My Third project is another Album Cover I made for Shimmerz paints blog.
I used many of my leftovers on this project. Bits and pieces
that were floating around on my work space.
The techiques are quite simple for this project, everything primed and colored
with Shimmerz mist.
As a final touch I added some stamping and applied color texture paste over the pieces
blending them all together.
Some close ups for you:
of the "Doily Border".
"Two Hearts- Title".
The leftover negative piece from "Valentine's Hearts"
and the "Film Strip Medium" and some flowers that came out
of the middle of the "Flower Spurt Chain".
I have made a video from start to finish,
so you can check it for all the tips:
I hope you have enjoyed my creations this month.
Elena.
