Altered Box by Elena

Hello everyone, I'm back again,  to show you one more project for this month.
I have already shared my layouts and cards with you, however,
I thought I would show you an "OTP" project that I did recently..
This time I've prepared an altered box for you...

I bought this wooden box several years ago and didn't know what to do with it.
Firstly I thought about some decoupage techniques, but didn't
want to simply just glue paper all over it.
Then I came up with the idea of a mixed media project.
As you all know I am mad about different mediums.

I needed a special embellishment to decorate my box,
and I have found just the perfect thing.

They came 3 in a pack, so I used the bigger one for the cover.
I painted the box with acrylic paints, did some stamping with
embossing powder and added some texture paste.

After all the painting was done I topped the chipboard with
antique gold pearls and a dragonfly.
Moreover I used one of the smaller chipboard for the inner part of the box,
and used the same painting techniques on it too

Do you have some boxes that need some altering?
 I am sure you do.
You  can easily decorate them with 2Crafty chipboard and they
will turn into an amazingly beautiful box too.
