Waiting for Santa
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you my last layout of the year.

Christmas will be here in a few days, and all the children are "patiently" waiting for Santa to come.  I love the innocence of children. They are believing and trusting and amazed at the hope of Santa Claus coming. The magic of Christmas is on their faces.

   Waiting for Santa

2Crafty used:

Swirly Holly Set

Wintery Snowflakes

St Nick's Snowflakes

Waiting for Santa

Gesso first ladies!

I used the Swirly Holly Set on my last layout, but I love the look, so I used it again here. I cut it up again and use it basically the same way. It just adds a beautiful festive touch to the layout. This time I painted it with Spanish Moss Chalk Paint to give it a matte finish. Then painted the snowflakes with White Adirondack Chalk Paint so they really pop.

I carried this swirl, also cut from the Swirly Holly Set, down under the photo tucked into the flowers to create a nice flow.

Also tucked in under the flowers is one of the St. Nick's Snowflakes. These are by far my favorite snowflakes from 2Crafty. They are beautiful and delicate. This was painted with White Adirondack Chalk Paint as were all the snowflakes.

At the upper left of the photo, I added another one of the St. Nick's Snowflakes. This was to coordinate with the snowflake on the other side.

The title, Waiting for Santa, is perfect for this layout. You can just see this little boy's anticipation! I have scrapped this photo before, and will probably scrap it again, because I love it. Sometimes you come across a photo that just tugs at your heart. I guess this is one of those for me.

I finished the layout off with a little snowflake from the Wintery Snowflakes pack.

Hope you like this layout and that it inspires you as you create your Christmas memories.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. I look forward to seeing you all back here on the blog next month as we usher in 2026.
