"You're Boo-tiful" Layout with Amy Voorthuis

 Good morning lovely 2Crafty friends.
How wonderful of you all to stop by the 2Crafty blog. Today I'd like to show you a Halloween layout 2Crafty Chipboards has a lot of amazing Halloween chippies and I used a couple of them on my work. I used a picture that we took last year at a Halloween party.

You're Boo-tiful "moment":

 Gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard used:

All the chipboard pieces but the lattice leaves & foliage set 13 are altered with black gesso, after that I used a couple of matte and metallique waxes to make it shimmer a little. 

For the other pieces I used two layers white gesso and my amazing alcohol markers in a couple of green tones. I also added some plastic spiders this was such a fun layout to make....

Bewitched By Charmane Sharp

Just love this collection so had to scrap some old photos of a past Halloween

when I was a witch. Can't wait for this Halloween to celebrate with my community.

2Crafty Chipboard used…

Title- Bewitched 

Halloween set 3

12x12 Branches Frame set

I pulled my Prima Watercolours out after coating all my pieces in Gesso.

The title was painted white with a light grey on the bottom. I placed the cat

on the side after painting it black.

The Witch from Halloween set 3 was perfect for this layout. I painted

it black, once dry I went over the bottom of her dress and shoes again

to deepen the black and break it up. Then finished with strokes of a 

light grey for her hair to be seen and coloured her broom with brown 

and shades of straw to bring it out as a highlight.

Love the addition of the Cauldron underneath my flowers. I painted

it just like the witch deepening the black on the top and the bottom for contrast.

I cut the large branch into a few pieces to add to my flowers as I love the

 curve it has. Using my grey watercolours I was able to give them an aged

dry wood look perfect for the theme. The cat can be seen better at the top

of this photo too.

I really enjoyed creating this one. It is always great to get dirty with a 

bit of a mixed media background, then some lovely layers to showcase

my gorgeous photo and then some fun customising my chipboard pieces.

I just love this chipboard title, “The Wonder of Christmas”,

Just sums the season up beautifully.

I simply just painted it with some black acrylic paint. Too easy !!

I have always been a huge chipboard fan because I love the way you

are able to customise it to match perfectly with whatever type, or colour 

project you are working on. You can’t do that with any other product. 

I have also added in one of the “Film Strips-Tiny”.

The perfect embellishment that goes perfectly with my layout.

Again I just gave it a coat of some black acrylic paint.

I then finished it all off with a scattering of various size stars which I got

from the “Love You to the Moon & Back Set”. I gave these a simple 

coat of some red acrylic paint.

Hi everyone! Welcome to the fabulous 2Crafty Blog!

Well, it's close to the end of October already. Can you believe it? October is Pumpkin time, Halloween time, and if you go to the stores it's already Christmas time!! I try to scrap the different seasons, so this is my Pumpkin Patch layout. I remember my kids going nuts over pumpkins. That meant Halloween to them! It meant getting ready for Christmas to me!! It all happens too fast!

12X12 Weathered Clock Face Frames

Leafy Silhouettes

Memories of You

As I always say, and you may get tired of reading this, but prime those fabulous chippies, ladies!

So who doesn't LOVE the 12x12 Weathered Clock Face Frames? One of my favorite 2Crafty pieces! You get 3 different sizes of these gorgeous frames in the set. This one is the middle size frame. It was perfect for this layout. 

All I did was paint it with Burnt Sienna Acrylic Paint, going a little heavier in some parts to deepen the color and create more dimension.

I think the Leafy Silhouettes are so pretty and that they add a little bit of whimsy. They also add an airiness and lightness since they aren't solid. (Make sense?) I glued paper under the top leaf so it could be easily seen against the clock frame. If I didn't do that, it would have gotten lost. The other leaves didn't need any backing. 

I painted them with Moss from the Prima Watercolor Confetti Set.

I added one more of the Leafy Silhouettes to the right of the photo because it needed one there to balance out the flowers. 

The title, Memories, is from the Memories of You title. I often cut the titles to customize them to my layouts. I felt that just using 'Memories' was enough for the space. I painted it with Sheepskin Chalk Paint. The color of this particular paint is almost the same color as the background, so it worked.

And there it is, my Pumpkin layout. Hope you like it.

'Today' with Lisa Amiet

 Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here today to share some scrappy inspiration with you.

Today

 2Crafty products used:

 'Dotted Polaroid Frame'

'Flower Doilies'

'Flower Medallions'

'Today Phrase Set'

'Old World Key/Lock Set'

 

 

For this layout, I used two of the 'Dotted Polaroid Frames',
 which I embossed in a bright aqua colour. 

I also used one of the keys, from the 
'Old World Key/Lock Set' which I embossed in white, 

 layered over one of the frames.

 

 

 

I then used one of the 'Flower Doilies',
which I have embossed in a peach colour to suit my papers,
and tucked into my paper layers.

 

 

 

I then used the 'Today Phrase Set',

which I embossed the today word in a sparkle peach colour. 
I layered this over one of my polaroid frames.

I have left the other phrase elements raw,
 and used layered over other chipboard pieces.   

 

 

 

I am loving the peach and aqua vibes of this page!

"Merry Christmas" Two Non - Traditional Christmas Cards with Amy Voorthuis

 Good morning lovely 2Crafty friends.
How wonderful of you all to stop by the 2Crafty Chipboard blog. For today I want to show you two mixed media Christmas cards made with some handmade flowers & premade flowers and some amazing Christmas chipboard pieces 2Crafty offers .....enjoy my post!

All the chippies are treated with white gesso, then on the holly twig branches I used two different colors of acrylic paints & some matte wax in a white color. Those cute little gnomes are altered with my amazing auqa and alcohol markers loved to colors those cuties. 

For the snowflakes I only added some white acrylic paint and the rest of the chippies are altered with my markers in like a green shade to fit my flowers.

Hi everyone!
I am back today to share a fun and bright layout of our oldest son!

 

                      2Crafty Products Used;

Word Circle Set 1
6" Ariels Spray Border
Sequins Negative

After prepping all the chipboard pieces with white gesso I used gelatos.
I used a combination of mango and banana on the sequin negatives and title ones and a combo of green and pistachio on the sprays.  I coloured the pieces, applied a spritz of water then using my finger I rubbed the pieces to achieve the look I wanted.

Once the pieces were dry I inked the edges with brown ink then used an embossing pad and clear embossing powder.
