DREAM
by Robin Schelin

Hi Everyone! So glad you could stop by.

Today's layout is one with a lot of "white space." I usually like to use more pattern and texture in my background papers, but this time I wanted to try something different. The challenge for me was to use enough embellishments, but not too much, to create a deign.

DREAM

2Crafty used:

Flourish Adornment Set 6

Berry Branch

DREAM in Colour

First of all, I used White Gesso to prime all the chipboard pieces.

I played off the gold at the bottom right of the photo to frame it, create the rectangles, and paint the chipboard. I used a mix of Gold and Bronze Acrylic Paint to paint a piece of the Flourish Adornment Set 6 that I tucked in under the flowers.

Here at the bottom of the flower cluster is the other piece of the Flourish Adornment Set 6. To the left of that is a little bit of the Berry Branch. This was painted the same as the Flourish, with the berries painted a little darker.

I tucked in another little piece of the Berry Branch under the flowers at the right of the photo.

I decided to only use "DREAM" from the title DREAM in Colour. I tried to get it close to background colour, and the colour of the flowers, by combining Turquoise Green, Cerulean Blue and white Acrylic Paint. I like the subtle difference in color and the way it doesn't overpower the layout.

Hope you like this and that it challenges you to try different things when you create.

Until next time
