January Inspiration By Ingrid Gooyer

Hi everyone!
Ingrid here today with my first blogpost for 2Crafty Chipboards.
I'm so thrilled to be part of this amazing team together with all of these talented ladies!

Here is my first project:

"LOVE"

For my layouts I like to work on thin canvas boards, perfect to hold all of those paints.
I wanted to make a project with a wintery and yet cozy feel.
For the background I used a stencil with dots circles to mimic the snow.
Painted with brown colors and once dry, touched with some gesso to give it a
more soft look. Also added some splatters.

On this photo my youngest girl, sooo much in love with her boyfriend and it shows, doesn't it?!

The "Love" title got two coats with gesso, applied by using a small sponge.

I used the negative piece from the "Pointed Doiley Frame"circles as well.
Also painted with some gesso.

The pointed circle with some flowers, white berries and small wooden pieces.

I wanted to use the "Chain Border" here, not only one piece but two pieces together.
Thought it would give it some more texture.

And here is my second project:

"SET OF TWO CANVAS CARDS"

I love working on canvasses.
These are 15x15cm and perfect for cards.
I started the background with paper and tapes.
Added the paints and once dry some modeling paste and splatters.
All of those gorgeous chipboards were painted with some gesso using a small sponge.

I used a small piece of the "Chain Border" along the side with the butterfly on top.
Just love those "word circles"
Also used some threads and wooden beads for more texture.

Had this 52 metal piece for ever in my stash and finally got a chance to use it.

Here I also used a small piece of the "chain border".

The beautiful "Sharon butterfly".

The "Word Circles".

A small wooden heart touched with some gesso.
