August Project
by Priscilla Lim

"Remember Moments Like This"

Hello 2Crafty fans :)

It's my turn to share my creativity with you on the blog today.

In this project, I have decided to go for more cool and neutral colors.
Before I share some details; these are the 2Crafty supplies used.

Here's the first zoom in shot to give a close look on the crackle effect.
On both chipboards, I have first painted them in the color of my choice before
applying another layer of crackle accent after the paint has dried completely.
**For those that have not played with crackle accent, do note that for the cracks to
show beautifully; you have to be patient to let the accent dry naturally on it's own.
If you are really rushing for time, then wait for some cracks to show before you use
a heat tool to speed up the process.

I cut the Cog Border, up into three pieces.
This is why I love working with chipboards, They are very versatile.
You can change them according to what you need not work your way
around to fit them into your projects.

On this photo below, you will see that it has a burnt look. This was achieved by
dabbing some Distress Ink in Tea Dye when the crackle accents has completed dried up.

Next up; a look on how I layer my title chipboard over the cog border and Spring Flower Bunch
My humble doodling has also given a touch of artsy cuteness on this photo :)

About this Spring Flower Bunches. Oooooo I really love them!
To give it some dimension, I have separated them into top and bottom layers;
clearly shown in the picture below.
To create more interest, I have used the white stamens to create an impression
of a young bunch of spring flowers.

Lastly, let's give some focus to the Soft Feather chipboard. I want the feathers to look
really soft. Thus I have applied a layer of white paint and rubbed on the balance paint
(which I have used on the retro panel) down the centre of the feather.
Just by doing this simple step, you will find that it gives the feather some pretty depth.

So that's all I have to share for today.
Hope you like my layout and remember to visit us frequently for more inspiration!

Signing off with happiness :)
