Inspiration With Trudi Harrison

"These Two"

Hi Everyone!
It's Trudi Harrison with you today on the 2Crafty blog. I hope that you are maybe finding
a little down time for some paper crafting now that the Christmas and New Year festivities
have quietened down. I have been having some creative chipboard fun, I hope you enjoy my projects.

Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

For my layout 'These Two', I have used the remaining part of a title left after using the
'Sisters' word from a previous 2 Crafty project.

The chipboard title, I felt was the perfect choice for ‘These Two’, who truly
‘are attached at the heart’ - one does not go far without the other.

I was drawn to the soft toning and pretty elements of the patterned papers which coordinated beautifully with this photo captured of my two girls.
The pretty floral theme of the background paper was continued with a few fussy cut elements from other coordinating papers.  These have been layered and with chipboard ‘Chain’ and
'Bearded Heart' - these have been cut up into different lengths to add depth and dimension.

I kept the feel of the chipboard soft by adding a touch of shabby appeal. These were first
painted with picket fence distress paint and then lightly dabbed with metallic gold paint.

I have also created a grungy steampunk influenced canvas, taking inspiration
from the word title "Life is not measured"

I chose to work with chipboard clock face, gears, vintage and chain elements.
I positioned the elements before altering and affixing in place:

Chipboard was given a coat of heavy white paint.

Then spritzed with Colour Blast Shimmer Spray and accented with Colour Blast Paste.
I worked with the colours Leather and Deep Water.

Chained Heart Frames were cut up and painted with Colour Blast Leather Colour Paste.

With Metallic Gold Paint lightly dabbed over the top for a subtle accent.

The head piece of the girl was created by layering chipboard elements - I have used Gears, the smaller Square Leafy Frame which was cut up, a Vintage Key and Light Bulb.

Flowers and metal were added to the arrangement.

The title has been cut up and first painted with Leather Colour Paste and then
accented with metallic gold paint.
