Tracee's August Shares

"Happiness is This"

Hi! Hope everyone is having a great week.
My daughter and granddaughter recently went for a photo shoot, which of course
gives all sorts of wonderful pictures to scrap, with the addition of some great
chipboard pieces to make them extra special.

I used the "Happiness Is This" title which I painted a pale blue to coordinate with my patterned papers. I layered it over the top of one of the "6" clock frame" pieces and the heart droplet that came from the "Funky Arrows" assortment pack. For the clock piece I used some Wow Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder that really makes it sparkle. I simply painted the heart droplet
 with black gesso.
I treated the "Dotty Bits" with a thin layer of gesso and then rubbed on some Viva Décor
in silver which gets shinier when buffed after application.

I covered my "Polaroid Frames" with patterned paper. Inside I added a white painted heart from the "Hearts and Stars ATC" pack and over the top of the frame I added the "Sweet" circle that can be found in the really versatile "Word Circles Set 1" pack. Here you can see better how the clock frame sparkles as the light catches it. I added more frames and a small word from the
"ATC words Set 1" to complete my page.

"Howdy, Hello"

I recently travelled to the USA to spend time with my very good friend Debbi Tehrani.
We got to take lots of pics and I actually scrapped this in her wonderful scraproom.

I decided to use the "6" Revolution Circle frame as a sort of birdcage and then cut a piece from the "Circle Panel" set to act as a hanger. I painted them both black and used clear embossing powder over the top, I then stapled them together and attached this framework to the top of my page. I placed all my other elements and photos inside the framework. I applied glitter to my "Howdy" piece which is from the "Word Bubbles" set. I mounted it onto some patterned paper and then popped it up on foam dots.

I just love how the Word Circles add a cute element to your pages, and this one was treated with Stampendous Shabby Pink embossing powder. This powder has a cool textured finish when applied.
I painted one of the Chevron Bits black and covered the thicker of the two in a black polka dot paper. I used them as arrows to highlight my photos. A small arrow that I covered with a pink glitter added the finishing touch to my page.
