May Shares by Resident Guest Designer Debbi Tehrani

I'm delighted to be back to share some layouts I created with the fabulous
 2Crafty chipboard.
"Me & Warren"

(Yes, that's Warren Beatty with my stepdad). This page was inspired by the
current palette over at The Color Room:

I cut the filmstrip in half and tucked each end beneath the layers in order to extend
the length for this 9 x 9 page, painted it with black acrylic paint, and stitched it
down with some embroidery floss. The filmstrip was a perfect accent for this
movie star page, as were the stars, which I coated with gesso and then used
Ranger enchanted gold embossing powder. I mixed a few colors of acrylic paint
to match the palette and painted the chipboard letters and arrows. Once they dried,
I outlined them with a fine pen.

In the next close-up, you can see:

This speech bubble is definitely cool, and I painted it to match the palette and then
stamped it with black Distress Ink and again outlined it with a fine pen.

In the picture below, you can see an arrow from the set called...

I really wanted to use the "How Was Your Day?" tag, but it was quite large, and the red just overwhelmed the page. The arrow was the perfect thing to break up that large expanse of red.

"Once Upon a Time"

I used a CSI Case File for this page.

I coated all the chipboard on this layout with gesso and then applied embossing powder.

"There Is Much to Celebrate"

2Crafty is sponsoring Scrap Around the World this month, and the 2Crafty team
were invited to be guest designers. Check out this awesome mood board:

These awesome frames were the starting point of my page design. Inspired by the
balloons in the mood board, I painted them and then coated the bottom
with chunky gold glitter. The frames came from the set

Believe it or not, the starburst in the photo below is meant to be a snowflake, but I
thought it was perfectly festive and celebratory and reminded me of  fireworks.
I coated it with gesso and glue and then sprinkled lots of the gold glitter.
This piece is from a set called

There's a nice, chunky chevron in one of the chevron sets, and I cut it into three pieces. This chevron is from the set called:
