Cards and a Goodbye from Jane Clark

Hi everyone, this will be my last blog post for 2Crafty Chipboard.

I have enjoyed the experience of being on this amazing Design Team and I feel very blessed to have been included with such talented ladies and sometimes feel very daunted!
Everyone has been so friendly and helpful.
I especially want to thank Vanessa for her awesome chipboard designs!!
You are amazing and such an inspiration with your determination and dedication to this industry, thank you for letting me play with all your yummy products!
Okay onto the project I have made.

I just LOVE old tattered books, I saved this one from being thrown out!
I couldn't resist decorating the front with gorgeous chipboard!!

I coated the Happy Couple with silver foil, Leeann Pearce is responsible for my renewed
passion for this product! I then coated it with clear embossing powder to give a
glossy antique feel. For the decorative corner and Dainty Alphabets, I coated them with
Distress Paint picket fence then when it was dry I applied Distress Stain walnut stain over the top.

Believe it or not when I opened the book the first page I came across was this opening
one with 'Once Upon a Time' Chapter one, how awesome is that!!
I took all the pieces out of the ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars piece then placed the
cut-out section over the book page and sprayed it with Dylusions white linen spray
 for a lovely subtle effect.

Two of the Tiny Hearts were coloured with Distress Ink fired brick then coated with Distress rock candle clear crackle paint. This is probably one of my favourite pieces I have created for 2Crafty,
I know I keep saying that but this one is special to me!

I love turning these beautiful clean chipboard pieces into vintage embellishments!
 Makes my heart happy!

For my next item I created a 3D standing card, I used the ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars
cut-out piece again as a stencil and sprayed pink and blue chalk mists over the top.
To create the rose I glued the three Rose Stems together, let them dry then I carefully used a
scalpel to separate the top sections of the Rose, I must tell you this wasn't an easy job
as this chipboard is tough!! But I wanted to create a 3D rose, spraying it with my pink
chalk mist helped. I popped the rose into a little plastic vial to create the illusion that it was
a live rose, well it looks real to me since it's sitting right in front of me.

I adhered double-sided tape at the back, down both sides of the card then attached them
to the insides of a folded pink card, so really it's not a card I suppose but a three-dimensional item? Anyway I had fun creating these pieces and I hope they have inspired you.

Just because I'm leaving the Design Team doesn't mean I won't be playing with 2Crafty
products anymore, to the contrary, these products are very much my staple of creating!

Thank you to everyone for all your kind words about all my creations, you have
 kept my passion alive!

Cheers and happy creating! Jane xx
