A Little Summer in January by Nicole Doiron

Hi!  It's Nicole here!
It's January and Winter has officially set here in eastern Canada with lots of cold and
snow, so I had to bring in a little Summer warmth into my craft room this month...

And very fitting to the mood of my reveal, my first layout is called

 Summer Miracle

The Crazy Circle panel looks awesome as my background...
I covered it with white gesso, crackling paste and paint.

The title comes from the What a Wonderful Miracle You Are title.
I misted and painted it and added glitter.

Here you see the Floral Spray that I cut and used on either side of my photo strip.

I had to add a lot of Summer flowers to the mix and tried to color
the flowers on the chipboard to match.

And this layout wouldn't be complete without some
2Crafty Cutesy Dragonflies.

Some glitter and pearls to make the dragonflies even cuter.

I wish I could take credit for these beautiful pictures, but it's my friend's son
is the photographer!  He was very happy to let me use them on a layout.

You & Me Moments

The colors of this layout remind me of Summer and Winter at the same time.

I used 2 different titles to create
1: Loving These Moments  &  You & Me.

I used a Tim Holtz stencil and modelling paste to add some texture and then misted
it in different shades of green until I got just the exact shade of teal I wanted.

I love the border from Adornment Set 1... so versatile!

Both pieces of the Flourish Adornment Set 3 look beautiful
 tucked behind my flower clusters.

Yves and I...  in all our favorite "You & Me" moments! :)

And finally, this 3rd layout was inspired by the beautiful December mood board at
Scrap Around the World that you can view HERE.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Again, I went all out with lots of flowers and mixed media backgrounds

Here you can see the Somewhere Over the Rainbow title
 and a Butterfly Frame.

The Corner Whispy Flower was perfect for this whimsical page.

As well as the Corner Oriental Flower which I cut up and used as
added blooms in both my flower clusters.

As usual, I dabbed some white paint throughout the surface of my layout to give it
 a distressed whitewashed look.

The picture of my niece Daphne is a favorite of mine... she's deep in thought and
dreaming no doubt of what wonders may hide... somewhere over the rainbow.

I hope I was able to inspire you this month and bring a little warmth into your world.
