Hello - Time again for Sarah's October inspiration!

Hello 2Crafty fans, it is my turn again to share some inspiration with you today. October is the busiest month of the year for us with 4 of our 6 children plus my husband celebrating their birthdays. No surprise then that my first two pages are birthday related!

Here is my first page. The photos were taken on my eldest daughter Natalie's
17th birthday. She loved the new clothes and accessories that she received and
wanted me to take some photos of her wearing them (ofcourse I was more than
happy to oblige).
Here are the 2crafty chipboard pieces that I used on this page:
Corner Xmas star spray - I rubbed gold paste over this and coated it with dimensional
magic. It makes a stunning focal point to the page, drawing the eye to the photos.

Birds on a Wire: I cut three birds from the border and used a grey gelato pen to colour them.

Finally I mounted my title on a circle of waste chipboard left over from another 2Crafty item (nothing goes to waste!). I covered the circle with patterned paper, inked the edges and mounted my title '17 and so beautiful' on the top to make it really stand out.

My second page documents my son Jaime's 21st birthday family dinner. I was inspired to divide my page up into quarters by a layout that I saw on the Crate Paper blog. I thought that it would be fun to treat each sector as a mini-page.

I used mainly Crate paper products for this page - including the cute fabric frames and the cool transparencies. My 2Crafty products included here are:
"Dream"  - I really love these loopy font words. They make fabulous titles and look so professional! Here I simply painted my word with black distress paint.
Banners: - for this page I re-purposed the banner elements to make decorative arrow heads emphasising key parts of my layout. I really love that many of the 2crafty elements are able to be used in several different ways apart from the obvious ones for which they are intended. You are limited only by your imagination really. I covered my pennant/arrows in patterned paper and sanded and inked the edges. They are a fun decorative addition to my page.

Chevron bits: These would have to be my most frequent 'go to' items on all of my layouts. I love the look of chevrons and these 2Crafty chevron bits are the perfect finishing touch. They come in a mulitpack with several sizes of chevron. Here I have coloured them with a gelato pen.

My final page was created as inspiration for the awesome challenge blog  'Scrap Around the World' who 2Crafty have been sponsoring. If you are a visitor to my blog or SATW then you may have seen this one before.  Here is my page and the mood board that it is based on:

I was inspired by the 'girlie feel on the mood board and
I used it to tell the story of my little daughter's dramatic hair cut. The 2Crafty elements that I used are:

Flourish adornmentPerfect to add a little interest to the corner.

Flower Spurt Chain : Painted with black distress paint.

Chevron Pieces: Also painted with black distress paint.

Well, thanks for stopping by to see my creations. I hope that I have managed to
inspire you in some way.
Have a great month!
Sarah
