Pretty In Pink July Reveal
By Nicole Doiron

It's time once again for me to share with you projects featuring
beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard!

For this July reveal, I decided to honour the colour PINK!
Having two nieces, pink is very prominent on many of my projects
and that's good because I just so happen to love it!

Get ready to get girl-ified! :)

I created my first layout with the Isabella collection from BoBunny which
is such a pretty girl collection and has just the right amount of pink.

I used the large title piece "It's a Girl Thing" which I cut to fit my design
and embossed with a flower print.  I then covered it all with Gesso and
white paint and then chalked the bottom edge with yes... as you can see... pink!

The "1 inch Hexagons Sheet" is one of my favorite 2Crafty pieces.
It's so versatile and each hexagon shape can be either covered with
paper or painted mixed media fashion.  I used gesso and molding paste
on mine before adding different layers of glimmer mists and liquid pearls.

Doesn't my niece Daphne look like a little Diva on this picture?
The quote below is so perfect for this page and this picture!

I treated the "Butterfly Swirl" the same way as the hexagons, but
added a bit more gesso on the flowers and using my heatgun made
that gesso bubble up for more texture.  I added a little gem or pearl in the
center of every flower and they fit in so well with all my other paper flowers.

At the very top of this next picture, you can see the little butterfly which
I cut from the "Butterfly Swirl" and embossed just like I did the title.

My next project is just as PINK as the first one!

This is a graduation card created as a special order from a friend.

I used a piece of the "Swirly Bird Branch" which was first painted
white, then pink, then dabbed with brown ink.

Here you can see one of the "2013 units" which is just what I needed
for this graduation card.  You might also be able to recognize the
very elegant "Gazebo".  With much hesitancy, I decided to cut off the
top part and flip it over for my card
(that way, saving the columns for a future project).  I love the way it looks!

I hope you're not all "pinked" out just yet because I have one more
PINK project to share with you today.

I created this layout inspired by the current sketch challenge from
My Creative Sketches which I already shared on my blog in this June post HERE.

Let's take a closer look at the details spotlighting all the 2Crafty accents.

Here you can see the title piece "A Laugh" and the two "Delicate Butterflies"
(also seen in the image below) which I treated in the same way...
layers after layers of different inks, paints and mists.

Around the page I used the "Flowery Swirl Frame" (I ADORE THIS ONE!),
painted white, which you can see hints of here...

 and here...

 and here...

 and there.

One last close-up look...

And this is it for me this month!
