July Inspiration
Three Layouts to Share
By Di Garling

Hello 2 Crafty fans, thanks for calling by the blog.
Today I have three layouts to share with you & naturally they all
have loads of gorgeous 2 Crafty chipboard on them.

On my first one,  I have used four different pieces of 2 Crafty chippies...

"The Magic of You" title
Ana's Vine
Birdcage #1
Folk Hearts

To start with I have given all my chippie pieces a coat of gesso,
this acts like a base coat for so many different applications.

On the title I then wiped some Pumice Stone "Distress Ink"
followed by another hit & miss coat of gesso.

On this gorgeous "Ana's Vine" I have repeated the Pumice Stone
& gesso thing as before but to finish off I wiped some
Peeled Paint "Distress Ink" on the leaves & finished
them off with a coat of "Crackle Accents". I love this effect
as the liquid of the Crackle Accents causes the Distress Ink
on the leaves to run, thus creating a nice mottled effect.
Lastly I applied a little bit more gesso for a nice shabby look.

In this pic you can see where I have tucked in this sweet little
"ATC Birdcage #1" into my cluster. 2 Crafty do lots of  LITTLE
bits for cards & ATC's but I just love them for clustering on my
layouts too. Just a great size sometimes.
For the birdcage I have simply just applied gesso &
left it in this natural state.

In this pic you can see one of the little
"Folkhearts"
that I have tucked in amongst a couple of flowers.
Again I have just given this piece a wipe of gesso
& left it in its raw state which I rather like.

I have finished off with some beautiful  Green Tara flowers.

For my second layout I have used four different pieces of 2 Crafty chipboard.....

"Smile" / title
  Helena's Corner
   Birdhouse (ATC)
  Frame/Tiny Henri's

For the "Smile" title, I again started off with a coat of Gesso,
followed by some dabbing on of some Texture Paste for texture
& then finished off with a bronze metallic paint & when dry
I have wiped a little Viva gold paste over randomly.

In this pic you can see the "Helena's Corner" which was cut
into  two pieces to create these lovely swirls
to come out from beneath  my cluster.
It was simply treated the same as the title
 except without the texture paste.

That really is the beauty of chip, you don't have to leave it whole,
it is so easy to cut it up to create various options.

You can also see my favourite little
"Tiny Henri's Frame"
tucked in on the left side of my pics.

Here you can see where I have used one of the little
"ATC Birdhouses". Just the perfect size for this
little cluster.

You may have seen this layout I did recently as part of my Design Team work
for Green Tara, so naturally all these gorgeous flowers & crystal sprays
are theirs. All of these fabulous chipboard pieces including....

"Our Sweet Girl" title
"Hexagons"
Mini Filmstrip"
Are all from 2 Crafty chipboard.

As always the chippie pieces were firstly primed with gesso,
next I roughly applied some texture paste to the Hexagons to create a little texture
before finishing all chippie pieces off with three different colours of "Silks" paints.
Love the effect of the blended colours of Silks on the chippies, they also
create a gorgeous shimmer.

Well thats all from me this month. I hope I have inspired you in some small way
to get hold of some fabulous 2 Crafty chipboard to use on your next project.
