My June 2Crafty Creations by Nicole Doiron

It is my turn once again to share some projects I created with beautiful 2Crafty chipboard.
As the title of my first layout says, "What you see is what you get", and I hope that what you
see will inspire you to create something of your own with your stash of 2Crafty.

I am very happy about this first layout. I wanted to create a page both soft and elegant
and I think I managed to do that, using the gorgeous 2Crafty Viney Page Frame which I covered
with gesso then heated part of it to make it bubble up.  I then dabbed it with green and brown inks.

I added some shimmery pink and white flowers, 2 of my favorite colors to scrapbook.  I cut some
leaves off the frame to tuck behind the flowers.

The Fencing Wire Panel was also covered with gesso and distress inks.

I love the Damask pieces which come 3 in a pack.  I have used the 2 smaller pieces on this
layout and saved the larger one for my 2nd layout.  These ones I dabbed with gesso
 mixed with pink stain.

Hope you like this 'Me' page. :)

My second layout is a double-page.  When I started scrapbooking, all I did were double-page
layouts. I do think they look awesome in an album and I love the way you can stretch the
design from one page to the other as if it was one big panoramic canvas.

I created this layout for my friend Christine who visited Paris a few years ago.  Her pictures
of the Eiffel Tower were so beautiful that I begged her to let me scrapbook them.  I didn't have
to beg hard. hehe  I had the pictures of an entire year before I actually found the perfect
paper and embellishments to finally scrapbook them.

I took the What A Wonderful Miracle You Are title and cut it only to use the 3 first words.  I will
be using the leftovers on another project.  The piece behind the title is definitely one of my
favorites, Esther Name Plate.  I put a coat of gesso, heated it up and then went crazy with the
distress stains and glimmer mists.  Then, there is the Corner Arches which I treated the same
as the name plate, only in blue tones and dabbing more gesso on top.

The Eiffel Tower chippie is another favorite of mine.  I knew it would be perfect for these pictures. I'm so happy I waited to scrapbook them.  This chipboard piece is so intricately designed. Just beautiful!

Here you can see the large Damask which I treated the same as the Corner Arches.
I also added pieces of a Corner Whispy Vine that I had left over from a previous project.

Some more Corner Whispy Vine.

And last, but not least, I used the lovely Parisian Border which was very fitting to the
whole theme of the layout.

For my final project, I created a very special card for my boyfriend Yves with whom I've just
celebrated 7 years of togetherness this past weekend.

I had to use the cute Love Bird Swing as the main focal attraction on my card.
I painted it with Liquid Pearls.

It might look like I only used 1 piece of 2Crafty chipboard on my card, but really there is 2.
The background was cut out of a 12x12 plain sheet of chipboard that came as packaging
material.  I improvised different mixed media techniques over it, namely gesso, molding paste,
stains, mists, more molding paste over a hexagon mask and then more stains, mists and inks.

So that's it for now!  If you want to see more of my creations, visit my

I hope that you had the chance to participate in our blog hop during the weekend.  All the DT girls,
including me, appreciate all the kind comments that you left on our blogs and wish you the best
of luck with all the different prizes to be won!
