My April Reveal
By Di Garling

 "Forever"

Hello everyone, thanks for calling by.
Today I have some layouts to show using some chippies from the
latest release from 2 Crafty. This first layout, is called "Forever".

I have used these gorgeous NEW "Floral Branches".
They remind me of a cherry blossom tree.
Firstly I primed them with gesso then I used Distress Inks
to colour them with. I applied the inks with a paint brush & to
finish them off I simply put a little squirt of a Viva Pearl pen
into the middle of each flower.

I also added some small Green Tara roses in both pale pink &
mint green as well as some vine to add to the whole tree theme.

In this pic you can see I have used one of the newer release titles,
"Forever" I so love this font.
I have used some Tim Holtz Crackle Paint to create some texture
on it.

Lots of distressing, a little stamping & a little misting &
some fussy cutting to finish off with,
& hey presto, all finished.

"Live Out Loud"

For my next layout I though I would do a boy page.
After some background treatments using various mediums
I set about creating lots of textures.

I have again used another one of the NEW titles,
"Live Out Loud".

I have also used a "2012".
I have got a real thing for these lately.
They are available in different years & the good thing about
them is that it makes the date into an embellishment.

In this pic you can see I have used a whole pack of "Gears",
a "Mini Ruler" & some "Barbed Wire" too.
All of these pieces  I have simply inked with Distress Ink
first & then sprayed with some brown Glimmermist.
A few autumn leaves from Green Tara of course.

Lastly I have finished off with a few arrows from the
"Assorted Arrows" pack.
All of my turquoise pieces I have just painted with a
turquoise acrylic paint & inked the edges in brown.

"Unforgettable"

For my last layout today I thought I would show you this one.
You may have seen it before as it was my DT layout over at
White With One last month.

All of the 2 Crafty chippies on this layout were simply inked with
Distress inks. It was that simple.
First up I used some of the "Flag Banners" & I
combined them with some of the "Plain Triangle Banners"
which I covered with some hessian.

A 2 Crafty title, "Unforgettable".

"A Birdcage #1"

Again I finished off with one of those little "2012".
Too Easy.

Thanks for calling by the blog & remember to visit us on
It is updated daily with something new.

Cheers Di  xo
