Farewell - Fiona Johnstone

Hello everyone

After 15 months here at 2Crafty, it is time for me to say goodbye. I have had a wonderful time on the Design Team and would like to give a special thank you to Vanessa for the opportunity. To all the fabulous DT girls it has been a pleasure working with you all, and I look forward to seeing all the fantastic creations the new team brings.

Now onto my first layout for today: Tae Kwon Do. This is a new hobby my kids have started this year, so I recently took some photos of them in their new uniforms. I have used some of the spectacular new releases to create this layout:

I have had the perfect chippy piece for this in my stash for a while, the Chinese Dragon. Isn't he so cool? I have sprayed him with Dylusions inks, loving their matte finish, and then added a little stamping on the edges.

How awesome are these amazing Chevrons Bits? I am totally in love with these, it is a huge pack and I have just used a few. I have inked these in topaz, then stamped them with an oriental font script stamp.

Another new favourite of mine are these very cool arrows from the Assorted Arrows Pack. Once again, a pack full of many different arrows!! My top arrow has been inked in topaz then edged in a brown ink. The other two have been covered in washi tape - one of my favourite fun ways to cover chipboard.

My second layout this month is It's the Simple Things, using the spectacular Dandelions. These are truly lovely and I used them as the starting point of this layout.

Here is a close up of the dandelions. I have inked the stem in a pale green and grey ink combinations, then added a whole heap of flower soft to convey the fluffiness of the seeds. They look just ready to blow away and make a wish on.

I've used one of the amazing chipboard titles, this one It's the It's the Simple Things, perfectly sums up this captured moment of childhood. I have painted the title with metal pink paint for that little bit of shimmer.  I've finished the layout with a smattering of small butterflies , there are 20 of these little butterflies in a pack, just awesome! I have inked these in grey and added some stickles.

And my final share for the month and my final share as part of the DT, is a couple of my favourite layouts from the past 15 months:

And that is all from me, thank you.

Fiona
